The project is a state of the art broadcast facility. The building houses the KTIS & Skylight Radio Networks as well as the Student Television and Radio educational programs.
The structure is concrete and steel with a cast limestone and brick skin. The exterior materials used reflect the historic 19th century campus.
The atrium skylight and large windows fill the interior with natural light creating a sustainable environment for its occupants. From the bridges across the atrium the occupants can appreciate the flood of light as it fills the volume of space, the tower as it reaches upward through the skylight at the south end, and the showcase of technical equipment housed in 22 racks behind display glass at the north end.
