The freestanding cancer treatment center includes one treatment vault with future expansion space for a second treatment vault as client load dictates. The center houses a large chemotherapy treatment area (Infusion Area) and a pharmacy lab and prep area. The building features two private rooms, patient support group areas for patients and families, and a resource area with Internet and periodical access.
The building also includes an Appearance Center, a gift store for patients. The Administration division of the Center includes offices for the Medical Director, Program Director, for three physicians, and for support staff. The building design addresses all cancer treatment needs ranging from multiple exam rooms to a catering kitchen for patients and families.
Winner of the 2003 Project Team Vista Award Honorable Mention by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association.
