John and Lucy Cook Hall at the Saint Louis University John Cook School of Business
St. Louis, Missouri
The School of Business and Administration expansion includes the new 60,000-sf John & Lucy Cook Hall and the renovation of the 55,000-sf Davis-Shaughnessy Hall, built in 1919 in the Collegiate Gothic style.
The traditional brick and hand-carved limestone exterior of the new building is designed to match the original architecture of Davis-Shaughnessy Hall while incorporating modern technology throughout the combined facilities, including individual classroom seats wired for network and internet connections.
The project team achieved a major goal for the University with an innovative, thoughtful space plan that creates community and encourages out-of-classroom learning and spontaneous interaction and idea exchange.
Modern, sophisticated finishes reflect the school’s progressive approach to education and appeal to working professionals who attend graduate-level classes there
