The Capital Region Goldschmidt Surgery Center converted a ground level parking garage located at the lower level of a Medical Office Building into an Outpatient Surgery Center connected to the hospital. The Ambulatory Surgery Center provides four operating rooms (two future), two procedure rooms, 24 prep/recovery bays and support spaces.
A primary goal of the new Ambulatory Surgery Center was to position this Jefferson City, MO Medical Center as a premier provider of Outpatient Services to the community it services. Optimizing the patient experience helped inspire decisions from the planning stages through design. A focus was placed on gaining market share from a newly opened outpatient surgery center in the same community and increasing patient satisfaction from existing outpatient services offered by the hospital. These goals became the drivers that guided leadership to consider ways to attract patients and staff while improving visibility and access to their state-of-the-art Outpatient services.
