Northern Michigan University, New Residence Hall

Northern Michigan University was looking to increase their student housing capacity. This recently approved project introduces two new apartment-style residence halls with the total of approximately 165,000 SF to provide an additional 400 beds. Each apartment building is four stories high, consisting of 1-bed, 2-bed, and 4-bed apartments with ADA compliant amenities.

Construction is to adapt the modular construction to accelerate the overall schedule and continue progress during the wintertime. Each module come with FFE and fully furnished, cutting down the overall cost.

This project is expected to start in Fall 2025 in partnership with Greystar developer and Rise Modular as the contractor and module fabricator.
