The Sovereign project transformed a historic Grand Center building into a 17,000-square-foot, 1,200-capacity concert venue set welcomed its first concert goers in September 2025. Along with Lawrence Group’s affiliate companies, New + Found and Integrate Construction Partners, we developed, designed, and managed the renovation. This included significant structural retrofits, new windows, and exterior tuckpointing to preserve the building’s character while meeting modern performance needs. The build-out added two bars, a stage, VIP area, two greenrooms, and a striking two-story reception area. Working within an aging structure required precise coordination to integrate new systems and finishes while maintaining the historic fabric. The result is a premier music venue that blends modern amenities with Grand Center’s cultural legacy.
