Austin Regional Clinic partnered with Lawrence Group to build its first outpatient advanced imaging center, building on over a dozen healthcare projects across Central Texas in the past five years, including ASCs, specialty clinics, and its central laboratory. With a desire to expand into a new healthcare market—outpatient advanced imaging—ARC once again collaborated with Lawrence Group on a cost-effective, schedule-driven solution that could be replicated throughout Central Texas.
Located adjacent to the existing ARC Slaughter Lane clinic, the new facility expands ARC’s care offerings with a program that includes CT and MRI suites, a shared control room, IV alcoves, changing rooms, and staff support spaces.
Working within a former big-box grocery store, ARC Southwest required careful coordination to address its unique infrastructure, acoustics, and vibration requirements for an advanced imaging facility. The project involved transforming an open retail shell into a technically sophisticated healthcare environment capable of supporting MRI and CT imaging, requiring extensive coordination of structural, electrical, mechanical, and shielding systems to meet stringent performance standards while delivering a cost-effective solution for ARC’s growing outpatient imaging program.
