ARC South Specialty Earns Austin Energy Green Building 3-Star Rating

by

Lawrence Group and Austin Regional Clinic (ARC) are proud to celebrate a new sustainability milestone for ARC South Specialty. The recently completed 63,000-square-foot medical office building and ambulatory surgery center has earned a 3-Star Austin Energy® Green Building (AEGB) Commercial Rating, marking ARC’s first project to achieve an AEGB rating.

Established in 1991, Austin Energy® Green Building developed the first rating system in the United States for evaluating building sustainability. Today, the program evaluates projects on a one-to-five-star scale based on required and voluntary sustainable measures, encouraging strategies that support energy and water efficiency, healthier environments, resilience and responsible development.

Earning a 3-Star rating reflects our team’s commitment to incorporating sustainable strategies throughout ARC South Specialty. The facility incorporates sustainable materials, energy-efficient systems and natural daylighting alongside a patient-centered design created to provide a welcoming environment for patients and staff.

The achievement represents an important milestone for ARC and reinforces a shared commitment to creating healthcare environments that support patients, staff and the communities they serve. For Lawrence Group’s Austin team, the rating also demonstrates how close collaboration with clients can elevate sustainability goals while responding to the complex functional needs of modern healthcare facilities.

Congratulations to Austin Regional Clinic and the entire project team on achieving the 3-Star AEGB rating and delivering a more sustainable healthcare facility to the Austin community.
