Katelyn Adams, Permitting Specialist
Adams, who lives in San Antonio, TX, will work remotely supporting Lawrence Group’s retail team. She has more than six years of experience in project management/coordination. Prior to Lawrence Group, she was a Project Coordinator at residential renovation company Legacy Restoration where her job required her to review and audit incoming projects, maintain detailed work documentation, organize records and problem solve to ensure full build readiness.
She has a Bachelor of FCS – Apparel, Textiles and Design with an Emphasis in Product Development and Design from the University of Idaho.
Patti Buerk, Billing Specialist
Buerk joins the accounting team at Lawrence Group’s St. Louis headquarters. Buerk is an experienced senior accounting specialist with over 25 years of experience in the AEC industry. Prior to joining Lawrence Group, she worked 21 years as a Senior Accounting Specialist at St. Louis-based engineering firm Horner & Shifrin, Inc. Buerk has achieved multiple accounting training certificates through Deltek University.
Hunter Detjen, Design Professional
Detjen is based at Lawrence Group’s St. Louis headquarters working in the firm’s retail group. He has a Bachelor of Architecture in Architectural Technology from Ranken Technical College in St. Louis and has completed a summer internship at St. Louis-based Envision Lighting Design.
Katlyn Garcia, Controller
Garcia is a rehire to Lawrence Group, having initially started at the firm in 2014 as an Accounting Services Coordinator, then promoted to Accounting Services Manager in May 2023. She left Lawrence Group in August 2023 to pursue an Accounting Manager position at Gateway Studios & Production Services in St. Louis, then served as Controller for Rick’s Ace Hardware.
She has a Bachelor of Science in Management from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and a Master of Business Administration in Accounting from Southern New Hampshire University.
Nicole Grinberg, WELL AP, NCIDQ – Interior Designer
Grinberg joins Lawrence Group’s retail team in St. Louis. She has five years of interior design experience focused on hospitality and K-12 education, which includes an Interiors Internship at Hastings + Chivetta Architects, two years as a Junior Interior Designer at Bond Architects, and nine months as an Interior Designer at TBE Architects. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Maryville University of Saint Louis.
Soraya Hamilton, Permitting Specialist
Hamilton has over six years of experience as a Permit Technician at Florida-based CAP Government, Inc. where she supported various municipal and county agencies in reviewing and issuing permits for building, zoning and engineering. She has also worked with Miami-based private provider University Engineering Services as the Project Manager for the building inspections department and as a Project Manager for Florida-based East of Collins Expediting with a focus on securing right-of-way permits.
She has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa.
Kaleb Jenkins, Design Professional
Jenkens, who recently graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, is a former Project Intern at Lawrence Group. He also completed prior internships at KTGY in Oakland CA; Kwame Building Group in St. Louis; and Kirksey Architecture in Houston, TX. He joins the firm’s healthcare group in St. Louis.
Claire Keefer, Design Professional
Joining Lawrence Group’s retail and hospitality team in New York, Keefer’s experience includes two years as an Architectural Intern at David Yedidsion Architects in Akron, OH and three years as a Designer II at New York-based architecture and interior design firm Vocon. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Master of Architecture from Kent State University in Kent, OH.
Tessa McKee, Permitting Specialist
McKee is a results-orientated project manager with a strong record of delivering projects on schedule, within budget and with exceptional quality. Her experience includes working as a clerk for USPS in Fort Collins, CO and as a Project Manager for Concept Services where she served as the primary point of contact between customers, general contractors, warehouses and manufacturers in the development of franchised food service buildings. McKee, who has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Montana, will work remotely for Lawrence Group.
Kimberly Pickett, Procurement Coordinator
Pickett will assist the leadership team in coordinating projects and schedules, managing suppliers and overseeing the acquisition of materials and services for the firm. Prior to Lawrence Group, she was a Sales Coordinator for St. Louis-based Working Spaces, an Artwork Solution & Service Department Coordinator for Color Art -St. Louis, and a Project Coordinator for St. Louis-based CI Select.
She served in the U.S. Army for six years as a medical supply specialist, receiving an Honorable Discharge. She is an advocate for the American Diabetes Association.
Jordan Thompson, Design Professional
Thompson comes to Lawrence Group with 10 years of experience, which includes roles as a Designer at Denver-based Hord Coplan Macht; Architectural Designer II at CASCO Architecture & Engineering in St. Louis; and Architectural Staff Level I at Studio DH Architecture in Golden, CO. Specializing in retail design, Thompson graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture with a focus on race and gender relations from Washington University in St. Louis.
