Paul Wuennenberg Receives Prestigious ACUHO-I Parthenon Award

by

Lawrence Group is proud to announce that Principal Paul Wuennenberg has been awarded the Parthenon Award, one of the highest honors presented by the Association of College and University Housing Officers–International (ACUHO-I) on Sunday, June 21st, 2026.

The Parthenon Award recognizes individuals whose careers have made a significant and lasting impact on the student housing profession. Recipients are nominated based on their extensive experience, leadership, service, and contributions to the higher education housing community as well as to the ACUHO-I Foundation.

This recognition adds to an extraordinary legacy. Paul was the first architect to receive the S. Earl Thompson Award and the Outstanding Corporate Friend Award and now joins a select group of professionals honored with the Parthenon Award. While the award is most often presented to housing practitioners and university leaders, Paul is among the few architects recognized for his profound influence on the student housing industry.

For more than 30 years, Paul has partnered with colleges and universities across the country to create residential environments that foster student success, strengthen campus communities, and enhance the student experience. His collaborative approach and passion for higher education have earned the trust and respect of peers throughout the industry.

Lawrence Group extends our gratitude to the many clients, industry partners, colleagues, and friends who supported Paul’s nomination, in which includes the fundraising on behalf of Paul for the ACUHO-I Foundation, strengthening the future of student housing communities through research, education and professional development in campus housing.

Congratulations, Paul, on this remarkable and well-deserved achievement.
