Challenge
Deli Star Corporation – a family-owned ingredient supplier to the sandwich, salad and prepared meal making industries – chose to relocate their national headquarters to the BYCO building at City Foundry STL. The existing building was more than 100 years old and posed many design challenges.
Solution
Utilizing a team approach, Lawrence Group designed a Food Discovery Center to serve as the company’s new hub for culinary research and innovation. The space includes offices, two fully-equipped test kitchens, four research-chef stations, an instructional space for culinary and food-nutrition classes, conferences and demonstrations, an employee cafe, and farmer’s market.
