Lawrence Group New York recently completed Leica Store Chicago, a flagship retail destination that blends historic preservation with contemporary luxury. Located on North Michigan Avenue, one of Chicago’s premier shopping corridors, the two-story store occupies a landmark building distinguished by its Arts and Crafts-style façade.
The 4,300 SF space showcases Leica’s full product portfolio, including dedicated home cinema and watch collections, as well as a curated selection of certified pre-owned equipment. The design carefully balances the character of the historic structure with a modern retail experience that reflects Leica’s commitment to quality and innovation.
The upper level features a light-filled Leica Gallery designed to host international photography exhibitions, alongside a VIP lounge and hospitality bar. More than a retail environment, the store serves as a gathering place for Chicago’s photography community through curated events, exhibitions, and educational programming, creating a destination where art, culture, and craftsmanship come together.
