St. Louis Union Station is an iconic landmark in the city’s history. The owner wanted to highlight and preserve the structure’s original, recognizable beauty and give the people of St. Louis a reason to keep coming back. All of this had to be done in a manner that honored the historic character of the architecture as the project is a National Historic Landmark.
The renovation of Grand Hall — with its Romanesque archways, fresco and gold leaf detailing and stained glass windows combined with new one-of-a-kind 3D projection mapping on the ceiling – gives visitors a unique experience. The award-winning light show transforms a static barrel vaulted ceiling into a different immersive visual experience every night. Renovations also included 30,000-square-feet of meeting and exhibit space, new state-of-the-art fitness center and the addition of 28 hotel rooms beneath the clock tower.
