SENIOR ASSOCIATE
Steve Freiermuth
Steve joined Lawrence Group in 2003 as a designer. His expertise includes construction document generation, building standards, schematic design development, and field verification.
Andrew Billing
Andrew is a leading voice in Lawrence Group’s healthcare team, utilizing his expertise in a variety of project types including renovations, addition, and new construction. Some of his most notable recent projects include the BJC Outpatient Center in Edwardsville, Springfield Clinic, and SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.
Chad Guempel
Chad is an integral leader in balancing the demands of technology and visualization across a spectrum of projects. He is an expert in ensuring Lawrence Group’s technology strategy links with consultants, clients and constructors. Chad has led design efforts for John Burroughs School, Harris Stowe University Center of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, and One Foundry Way.

Katie Layden
Katie is a design professional for Lawrence Group and offers a range of project experience in markets including hospitality, retail, education, healthcare, and residential projects. My background combines both interior design and architectural knowledge and all aspects of project delivery including programming, historic preservation, LEED certification, site feasibility studies, and construction administration.
Orianna Zimmerer
Orianna Zimmerer joined Lawrence Group in 2021, bringing diverse work experience in healthcare, government, commercial, residential, hospitality and higher education. Orianna is a collaborative, creative, and experienced designer in all phases of architectural services from presentation, conceptual study schemes, programming, renderings, and schematic design until construction documents and has significant customer experience. Orianna is passionate about implementing design solutions to improve public health and the built environment.
Megan Wahlquist
Megan Wahlquist joined Lawrence Group in 2022, providing her expertise in design and project management for a variety of clients nationwide. Megan has a passion for creating inviting spaces through research-based applications of design practices. As a part of the retail team, her projects in retail rollouts have leveraged this expertise to create innovative solutions for the clients she serves.
Larraine Nunley
Larraine Nunley is a member of Lawrence Group’s Healthcare practice, providing thoughtful design solutions to best support positive patient outcomes and well-being. Larraine was recently the chair for the AIA St. Louis Chapter’s Young Architects Forum (YAF), supporting continuing education and community engagement of emerging professionals in the design industry.
Samantha Beiter
Samantha joined Lawrence Group in 2021, bringing a thoughtful design approach to a range of markets, with a particular focus on Hospitality and Food & Beverage. Samantha thrives in collaborative, cross-disciplinary environments and finds the most fulfillment in creative problem-solving and team-driven design solutions. A few of her recent projects includes Basso at Westport Plaza, None of the Above, One Foundry Way, and Harris Stowe State University Center of Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

Cindy Hausler
Cindy joined Lawrence Group in 2023 as part of the firm’s acquisition of KWK Architects. With over 20 years of experience in the AEC industry, Cindy leads the firm’s diverse and growing marketing efforts nationwide. Cindy was promoted to Associate Principal.

Drew Edelstein
Drew joined Lawrence Group in 2023 and has been an integral part of the marketing team. In addition to supporting the firm’s business development and new proposals, Drew leads Lawrence Group’s photography process, including planning for project shoots. Drew is actively involved in their local SMPS chapter. Drew was promoted to Associate.
