Booming online travel agency Fora Travel, named one of Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies of 2025, sought the innovative expertise of Lawrence Group New York to design its first immersive pop-up storefront in SoHo New York.
Located at 433 West Broadway from May 1 – June 13, the pop-up offers visitors a fresh, fun way to interact with Fora’s brand and its advisors in person to plan the perfect getaway, grab a cup of coffee, chat about travel, or participate in a variety of planned community events and activations.
Since Fora Travel is known for its strong online presence and social media marketing, Lawrence Group’s designers were challenged with translating Fora’s established online brand into a tangible, temporary storefront.
Lawrence Group New York, which has collaborated with such brands as Vuori, Warby Parker and Blue Bottle, was up for the challenge, utilizing proven techniques in hospitality design as inspiration for Fora’s pop-up.
To convey the feeling of being in a cozy living room, Lawrence Group designers used couches in the space’s meeting areas instead of chairs found in a typical office. The layout was also made to be flexible to allow the space to be turned into an event venue to host influencers, watch parties, and even dance parties.
The space utilized the brand’s signature red color for its wall shelving and vibrant images of popular travel destinations as part of its decor. Travel books, computer stations and a map table were also selected for the space, as well as hanging analog clocks displaying the times in different cities around the world. Designers used a variety of large, potted tropical plants throughout the space to convey the element of exotic locations.
