Lawrence Group proudly announces the hiring of Stephen Oldroyd as Design Professional at its Austin, TX office. Oldroyd previously worked for Lawrence Group in 2009-2010.
A passionate architect, Oldroyd has more than 26 years of experience across a wide array of markets including healthcare, senior living, advanced technology and workplace, amassing an impressive body of work that includes new construction, renovation, finish-out and expansion.
He also brings building code review and drawing QA/QC experience to the team, integrating these skills into all aspects of a project’s workflow. He said he finds great satisfaction in mentoring young professionals just starting their careers and designing for sustainability.
“My focus and attention to project schedule, design detail and cross disciplinary coordination make me a valuable member of the Lawrence Group design team,” said Oldroyd. “Sustainable and resilient design concepts have always inspired and encouraged my passion for making lasting positive contributions to the built environment.”
Prior to Oldroyd’s recent re-hiring at Lawrence Group, he worked for BSA LifeStructures and Studio ELES, both located in Austin, TX. A sampling of his Texas-based project portfolio includes:
