With more than 30 years of architectural experience, Gatzke is a proven leader known for inspiring teams, fostering collaboration and driving innovation. His deep expertise in the hospitality industry, combined with a passion for mentorship and client relationships, will bring a fresh energy and strategic vision to Lawrence Group’s talented New York team.

Established in 1996 as Lawrence Group’s first network office, the New York office captures the city’s unique creative energy, fusing it with expert-level architecture and design for a range of markets including retail, hospitality, and workplace.
Prior to Lawrence Group, Gatzke was a principal/managing director at Vocon’s New York office, where he successfully helped navigate the firm through the pandemic to grow its staff from 30 to 95 employees. Previous positions also include owner of Architectural Salvation p.c. in Montclair, NJ, which specializes in architecture, design, and restoration of vintage residential architecture, and partner/studio director/NE regional practice area leader in hospitality at Gensler in Morristown, NJ.
Gatzke graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture from the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, and is a registered architect in New York and New Jersey. He is also a USGBC LEED and NCARB accredited professional and member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
