This year, St. Louis Magazine awarded Steve Smith the A-List Editors’ Choice Award’s Visionary Award. Smith was recognized for his bold creativity and dedication to revitalizing St. Louis, demonstrated in projects such as City Foundry STL, the transformation of a vacant industrial site into a vibrant, mixed-used hub celebrating creative concepts in food, commerce and entrepreneurship.
“Everything I’ve done around the restoration of buildings is to try to change the trajectory of St. Louis,” said Smith. “If we want to change that trajectory, we need to try bold and different things.”
